Some of your books are not listed as for sale. Can I get a copy?
Some of our projects have now sold out. If you need to get a hold of a copy email us direct at email@example.com and we will see what we can do.
What is the current submission policy?
We are currently open to submissions through our flash fiction competition 2014.
What is a flash fiction?
Flash fiction is a story which is characterised by it’s brevity. There is no official word cap but for the purposes of this competition we ask that each story is no more than 1000 words.
Can I submit just one flash fiction?
No. We are only accepting submissions which contain 4 - 8 fictions.
How strict is the word count?
Our word count rules are that each flash fiction must be less than 1000 words but we won’t turn your submission away if its 1010!
I want to use bookimbo but don’t want to bother with images. Will I be judged on that?
Not at all! We judge your work on the fiction only. But you might enjoy playing with our great application and designing your own cover and pages.
I don’t want to use bookimbo but I would like to enter the competition. Can I email you direct?
Unfortunately we will not accept submissions in this way. If you don’t feel comfortable using the application why not ask a computer savvy friend to help?
Some of my flash fictions have been published before. Can I enter them?
We are only accepting unpublished submissions.
I have previously entered my flash fictions into other competitions but not won. Can I enter them here?
Yes, of course. Your talent may have been overlooked!
I am not from the UK, is that OK?
Yes, we are not restricting entries to UK residents.
If I win do the publishing rights go to bookimbo?
Yes, we will publish your work and it will be for sale on our website and amazon. You will receive 15 % of gross profits, which is our standard publishing contract with authors.
If I don’t win can I still get a printed copy?
Absolutely. As part of our early sign up promotion you are entitled to printing discounts which give you a great rate for printing your bookimbos.
I am having problems with the Editor. Who do I contact?
If you are having a problem with bookimbo please make a note on the forum and our technical support team will get back to you. You can also submit a ticket or check out the bookimbo FAQ’s.
I have a question about the competition. Who do I contact?
You can email your queries about the competition to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you shortly.
I missed the deadline. Can I still submit?
Unfortunately our deadline is a strict one. Look out though, we may extend it.
If you have a question which is not answered here, please email us.
